The Past 5 days

It looks like I am about 5 days late on my blog. Not much has happened in the past 5 days, other than history being made today with another president of the USA sworn into office and another president of the USA leaving office.

I am still looking for a job and have not had any response from any of the companies that I have sent my resume to. I hope that I start getting some responses soon from potential employers. I need to get back to work ASAP.

****If anyone out there has leads on jobs, please get in touch with me so that I can pursue them****

The last couple of days have been great in that I have been getting a lot of finish work done in my basement. I have hung the doors in the hallway closet, I have hung the doors in the utility closet and I built the shelving in the hall closet, so things are moving right along. I still have a few things left to do like connect the drain for the sink in the bathroom, connect the water in the shower, reset the countertops and last but not least.....paint....oh...I also have to put in the window sills in 2 windows, (but that won't take long), oh, and I also have to put on the door knobs and put in 2 lights, and then I should be done. So, there are a couple of things left to do, but I am moving along and would like to have them done as fast as possible.

I read an article on MSN regarding Willlis McGahee and it said that he was released from the hospital in good condition and that he fully intends on playing next season. I am glad that he was not seriously injured in that helmet to helmet collission. There have been other instances that have not turned out for the best and individuals careers were ended.

As always, if there is a subject or topic you would like to talk about, just get in touch with me.

UFC

I have had some requests for UFC Highlights, so I will put up a video. This video will illustrate the difference between Wrestling and UFC. UFC is 100% real and Wrestling is FAKE...

Here is 1 to get you started: Enjoy

Wrestling...Is it REAL or FAKE

This has been the question for the past 30+ years. Is Wrestling real or fake. For all of you people out there that think it is real, take a look at the video that I have posted. I think that it will speak for itself. Make no beef about it, the "Actors" do get hurt and it is a tough business to be in. If you happen to get lucky and become successful in the industry, you will make a lot of money.

Here is a short video on how fake the moves are:

Here is another short video that I found. These guys are great actors, but its fake. enjoy

Interest Rates

I didn't have a chance to look at the current mortgage rates yesterday, so I looked at them th is morning. These are rates from yesterday though because todays rates won't post for about another hour or so. Here is what I found

Lender: AFCU

Loan Type
Interest Rate
Discount Points
Origination Fee
APR
10 Year Fixed
4.7500% 0% 0.5000% 4.8998%

15 Year Fixed
4.7500% 0% 0.5000% 4.8545%

20 Year Fixed
5.1250% 0% 0.5000% 5.2082%

30 Year Fixed
5.1250% 0% 0.5000% 5.1864%

30 Year Jumbo
6.5000% 4.1250% 0.5000% 6.9681%

These are historically low rates. Now there is a huge demand from consumers wanting to take advantage of these incredibly low rates, however the problem that the majority of people are running into is that they don't have good enough credit to get approved for the loan. So don't expect to be able to take advantage of these low rates without having a credit score of about 740 or higher. These rates won't be around for ever, so if your credit isn't as good as you would like it to be, then start paying off your credit card debts and any other debts that you may have to increase your credit score and then apply for a refinance (if a refinance makes sense for your situation) or if you are looking to build a home, get started in the process so that you can lock in the lowest rate available based off of your credit score at the time that you apply.

I know of an individual who was going through a tough financial time due to credit card debt and a higher interest rate than what was currently available, so he went to his financial institution and applied for a refinance on his mortgage and was denied due to his current credit score. Had he been approved, he would have saved over $200/month just on his mortgage alone. So that is just 1 example of why having good credit is so important and also supports what I said earlier in that just because interest rates are at a historic low doesn't mean that it will be easy to be approved for the loan.

Terrible day at the gym

I try to go to the gym 4-5 days a week. This past week I had only been able to go 1 time, so when I showed up this morning, you could tell that I hadn't played racquetball in over a week. I lost every game that I played for 2 hours straight. This was by far the worst day that I have ever had playing racquetball. It was good to get out and get the exercise, I definately needed it.

It looks like the Utah Utes are going to get the money necessary to make the trip to President Elect Barack Obamas Presidential Inauguration. I hope that turns out to be a good experience for the Utes music program.

Where are mortgage rates currently? I will look into it tomorrow and post the information that I find.

BCS Championship 2009-

I just wanted to finish out the updates for the BCS 2009 Championship. I think that the Utah-Alabama game was a lot more entertaining, and again, Utah should have been playing for the Championship. I stopped with the scoring updates because I just thought it was a boring game and more than likely anyone that was interested in knowing the score or anything else was probably watching the game.....With that said, I am a fan of Urban Meyer, I think that he has done a tremendous job with the florida program, and you can all but guarantee that Tim Tebow will be playing on sundays in the NFL.
This is for a friend of mine......enjoy

BCS

I have been listening to talk radio here in Utah and there are a lot of people that are upset because Utah is the only college team that went undefeated in their football season and does not get a shot to play for the BCS Championship Game. This is the 2nd time that this has happened in 4 years and there is no rational reason on why the mountain west conference is getting the shaft. I personally think that they deserve a shot to play for the championship and show how good they really are. They clearly beat Alabama who is supposedly a #4 seed. They looked more like a 12 or 13 seed the way that Utah ran the field with them and Alabama couldnt touch Utahs defense. College Football needs to go to a playoff format and that will produce a TRUE National Championship Team.

Enough said about that.....I continue to send out a minimum of 2 resumes per week. I still have not been contacted for an interview by any perspective employers, but will continue to send out resumes until I get hired. I have also thought about starting a business, however I don't have the money necessary to do so, and don't want to risk the investment right now. I am always interested in ways to make money on the internet, so if anyone has any suggestions, I will definately look at them.
